Summary

The successful candidate will assists in all aspects of the Internal audit program to review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality management system by monitoring compliance to contractual, regulatory, and internal company requirements. Functional Areas will include Maintenance Departments, Facilities and ย Fixed-Base Operators (FBOs)ย  This role focuses on promoting safety, quality, and operational excellence in Maintenance, Ground handling, Fuel Management, and Workplace Health and Safety. The position involves travel to FBO sites across Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor Execaire Aviation Quality Management System documentation and draft updates as directed
  • Conduct audits, write detailed reports, and provide out briefs
  • Initiate corrective actions, assess response plan and root cause analysis, and conduct follow-up verifications
  • Perform necessary audit follow-up which includes communicating with auditee on status of action resolution
  • Conduct product compliance reviews including documentation
  • Carry out aircraft quality product conformance and verifications, write reports, and initiate appropriate action
  • Participate in technical investigations, assess/evaluate results, and provide recommendations
  • Conduct Supplier evaluations and approvals
  • Participate in the Safety Management Program and 6S surveys
  • Evaluate compliance with IS-BAH standards, assessing elements such as Safety Management Systems (SMS), emergency response planning, and operational procedures to verify Stage 1, 2, or 3 certification levels.
  • Inspect aviation fuel quality control and handling practices against JIG standards, including ย  equipment inspections, procedural reviews, and documentation verification to prevent contamination and ensure safe fueling operations
  • Assess workplace environments for adherence to OH&S requirements under Part II of the ย Canada Labour Code, including hazard prevention programs, employee training, incident investigations, and preventive measures to minimize accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases
  • Perform regular workplace inspections as required by the CLC Part II
  • Audit compliance with safety equipment, tool control, chemical storage, and GSE safety standards
Requirements
  • Graduate Technologist/Technician, Aviation Management Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with CAR's, JIG standards for aviation fuel, including hands-on experience in fuel handling facilities, quality control testing, and inspection techniques.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation operations, ground handling, or FBO management, with at least 3 years in auditing or compliance roles.
  • In-depth understanding of Part II of the Canada Labour Code, including hazard assessment, preventive measures, and employee safety training requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of IS-BAH accreditation, including SMS proficiency and operational expertise in fixed-wing or rotor-wing aircraft handling.
