Job description

Summary:
A construction company that specializes in building fueling solutions for government and large private fleets is seeking a Construction Superintendent. This position will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and execution of field crew activities for vehicular fuel system construction and demolition projects. The Superintendent will supervise and coordinate onsite field operations and associated subcontractors and vendors, while providing input toward project scheduling. The role requires ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day field operations for vehicular fuel system construction and demolition projects.
* Supervise installation, modification, and removal of USTs/ASTs, fuel transfer piping, hydrant fuel systems, and related mechanical systems.
* Oversee civil scope including concrete demolition/placement, drainage work, and site grading.
* Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and equipment suppliers.
* Monitor project milestones, labor hours, and costs; provide weekly updates to project management.
* Enforce Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and documentation.
* Maintain accurate records including daily reports, JSAs, and toolbox meeting notes.
* Manage project closeout-punch lists, owner training, spare parts turnover, as-builts, and demobilization.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of superintendent or construction management experience in fuel systems and petroleum infrastructure construction.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical fuel system construction.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Experience supervising multi-trade crews (pipefitters, welders, operators, electricians, etc.).
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic reporting tools.
* OSHA 30-Hour certification required; HAZWOPER 40, Traffic Control Supervisor, Stormwater Inspector, and FDOT/CTQP certifications are a plus.
* Valid driver"s license
