Description:

A leader in General Construction, Fuel Facility Maintenance and Compliance Testing is looking for self-motivated, dependable and experienced candidates to immediately fill the full-time position of Construction Superintendent.

*THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION*

The individual in this role will be responsible for developing construction schedules, timelines and overseeing contractors and subcontractors onsite throughout the project. Candidates should have experience with project management and construction, as well as the ability to adhere to deadlines and budgets restrictions. Must have proven knowledge in every stage of the construction process from scope development to project closeout.


JOB PURPOSE:

  • Provide outstanding customer service. This is the foundation our company is built upon.
  • Maintain quality of service by following organization standards.
  • Present and maintain a professional and effective relationship with all owners, agencies, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that goals are accomplished on time and budget. Provide leadership and mentor subordinate supervisors to accomplish the same.
  • General project management activities, e.g., manage schedule, scope gap, risk, and deliverables; answer RFIs, review and qualify change orders, manage subcontractor activities, resolve contractor conflict, compile subordinateโ€™s reports for senior management and clients.
  • Solve problems, without reluctance to seek a superiorโ€™s guidance.
  • Contribute recommendations to improve existing standards and processes.
  • Coordinate agency and client requirements, e.g. testing, inspections, finals, etc.
  • Maintain daily logs/reports of construction progress (Procore).
  • Review subcontract and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Beyond familiarity, be confident in your skills with various software, e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Project. Including the ability to e-mail reports, upload and download pictures and information, and take online training. Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Procore a plus.





Requirements:
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience in building construction and safety practices. Experience in fuel station construction a plus.
  • Familiarity with fuel station compliance regulations a plus.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US on a weekly basis.
  • Outstanding verbal and writing skills, English required, Spanish a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Programs such as: Outlook, Teams, Project, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam / REVU, preferred
  • Ability to work in an office as well as in the field. Field conditions will vary and will include typical construction conditions, e.g. exposure to hot and cold temperatures, night work, wet conditions, noise, travel nationwide, etc.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to meet companyโ€™s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
