Fueling Operations Manager

JOB DIMENSIONS:
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, manages fueling projects and OEM accounts while providing operational, technical, and inside sales support to the Fueling Regional Sales Manager, Outside Sales Team, System Integrators, and Distributors. The role coordinates project execution from quotation through delivery, supports forecasting and factory planning, and performs related duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as primary operational and project coordination resource to the Fueling Regional Sales Manager, providing visibility of project status from quotation and submittal through order processing, production, and delivery.
  • Creates, organizes, and maintains project files, schedules, action logs, and supporting documentation for active fueling projects.
  • Assists sales team in review of specifications and creation of project quotes
  • Assists sales team in creation of submittals for project approval
  • Coordinates project and operational activities across Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, System Integrators, Distributors, and other relevant functions.
  • Coordinates with Engineering and other internal departments to progress technical reviews, special requirements, and project actions.
  • OEM Project & Account Management: Manages assigned OEM accounts and acts as the primary internal coordinator for OEM projects, quotations, submittals, order execution, delivery requirements, and ongoing account needs; supports development of new OEM business opportunities in coordination with the sales team.
  • Owns and maintains fueling forecasts for assigned products; works proactively with Sales, Purchasing, Planning, and Production to translate forecast demand into material and capacity requirements, monitor inventory and lead times, and identify constraints before they affect customer delivery.
  • Creates and maintains product, project, and submittal documentation required to support sales and project execution.
  • Provides day-to-day direction and coordination to fueling inside sales personnel where assigned, including workload prioritization, project follow-up, and process consistency.
  • Prepares and presents project, forecast, lead-time, order, and operational performance reports; maintains key metrics and completes special projects.
  • Participates in trade shows, OEM reviews, and customer visits as required; travel should typically be planned well in advance.
  • Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
  • Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:
Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:
Experience/Training/Education:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience; demonstrated experience in project or program coordination within an engineered-products environment; and working knowledge of technical sales, inside sales, manufacturing, and service processes. Minimum requirement of 5 years Senior level project experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of fluid dynamics and hydraulic control valve operating principles and procedures;
  • Working knowledge of fueling systems, including pumps, valves, tanks, piping, fittings, and related components;
  • Working knowledge of valve applications, installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes, production planning, inventory, and lead-time management;
  • Able to communicate effectively, influence cross-functional actions, and work cooperatively with other department representatives;
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics;
  • Able to structure and organize projects, priorities, reporting, and training activities to meet established goals for the inside and outside sales teams.

  • Able to access customer and work-site locations as required to support equipment applications, project reviews, and system evaluations;
  • Able to operate a motor vehicle;
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined;
