Familiarity with diagnostic tools, fuel injection testing equipment, and computerized engine management systems is essential. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and effective communication are important soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure precise diagnostics, efficient repairs, and customer satisfaction in maintaining optimal engine performance.

What is fuel injection?

Fuel injection is a system used in internal combustion engines to deliver fuel directly into the engine's cylinders or intake manifold. Instead of using a carburetor, fuel injection uses electronically controlled injectors to precisely measure and spray fuel, resulting in more efficient combustion. This leads to better fuel economy, lower emissions, and improved engine performance. Modern vehicles almost exclusively use fuel injection systems due to their reliability and efficiency.
