Job description

Traveling Fuel Technician Apprentice

OWL Services is hiring Traveling Fuel Technician Apprentice to work hands-on in the field servicing fuel stations. This job is for people who like working with their hands, don’t mind being on the road, and want steady work with good overtime and advancement.

We’ll train you on the job. Mechanical experience helps, but it’s not required if you’re willing to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Calibrating fuel pumps so customers get the right amount of fuel
  • Performing minor maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment
  • Setting up tools and equipment at job sites
  • Using basic tech (tablet/phone) to record work
  • Driving a company truck to job locations – must have valid driver's license

Travel (Important)

This is a travel-heavy job. You’ll work in multiple states and may be on the road for weeks at a time.

  • Hotel provided
  • $50/day per diem paid weekly (not taxed)

  • Able to work independently and follow instructions
  • Basic phone/tablet skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen

Veterans: VA On-The-Job Training

  • Vocational training initiative designed to assist Veterans in acquiring new skills and transitioning into civilian employment.
  • Veterans that are eligible for the GI bill can take advantage of this program and they earn a monthly stipend from the VA throughout the duration of the program.
