QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Minimum of 18 years of age upon hire
High School Diploma or GED
Current and valid driver's license in the state of residence
Good driving record as verified by a Department of Motor Vehicles report. No moving violations for the past three (3) years. Capable of driving light or medium duty vans/trucks with manual or automatic transmissions
Familiarity with Twin Cities metropolitan road system
Detail orientation
Organizational skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds waist high; able to pass Department of Transportation physical
Customer oriented (internal and external)
PREFERRED:
Previous Warehouse and/or distribution experience
Highly motivated individual able to work in a fast paced work environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

POSITION PURPOSE
Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Responsible for the recording and processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise at the Materials Management Warehouse; filling of supply orders; receiving and delivery of supplies, mail, specimens and other materials; driving vehicles and delivering items to designated delivery sites in a safe and efficient manner.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Document receipt of all merchandise and acknowledge receipt by signature.
Report all damage and discrepancies.
Maintain and prepare accurate receiving logs and related records.
Check all merchandise against packing list and purchase orders; identify any discrepancies and identify shelf location for all items; prepare items for distribution to warehouse inventory locations and place items into proper storage locations.
Complete receiving documents for processing by supervisor and/or computer operator/accounts payable.
Prepare shipping documents and materials to be shipped to clinics and other locations.
Process returns from clinics and prepare items for credit returns to vendors.
Prepare items for shipment via UPS or common carrier.
Fill supply requisition orders and record transactions.
Load issued items into containers, carts and vehicles and stage items for delivery.
Drive truck/vans assigned to Materials Management Department from its warehouse to HealthPartners/GHI clinical facilities and other locations, and accomplish duties within scheduled times consistent with Minnesota State Laws.
Load, unload, sort and deliver mail, laboratory specimens, patient charts, x-rays, supplies and other materials. Familiar with OSHA procedures governing bio-hazardous material spillage.
Maintain security of vehicle and contents during load, unload and delivery functions.
Comply with record keeping requirements, such as maintaining record of work, record vehicle mileage, and gasoline use and perform basic inspection, cleaning and washing of vehicle.
Maintain work area cleanliness, organize work area inventories; operate, maintain and clean materials handling equipment including power loading units such as forklifts.
Participate in periodic physical inventory counts by using basic mathematics concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Comply with record keeping requirements for reporting any accidents and driving hazards to management
Promptly respond to traffic and driving hazards.
Sort reroute envelopes, diagnostic specimens, charts and x-rays for delivery to clinics.
Drive vehicles to service station for repair and maintenance.
Perform other duties related to order delivery, transportation and materials handing as required and assigned
