Description

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the U.S. Marine Corps PMAAA ACV-30 30mm program at Camp Pendleton and 29 Palms in California. This position is a weapons specialist providing organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance support of the MK44S weapon system. This is a time-sensitive role with the need to find solutions both individually and as part of a team in order to meet deliverable schedules with specific deadlines.

Job duties include:

  •  System testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance during test and live fire operations.

  • Writing reports, tracking assets, coordinating shipments, providing on-site training, and briefing customers on status.

  • Being responsible for compliance and understanding of the U.S. Marine Corps policies and procedures for proper maintenance and support of the 30mm weapon system.

  • Document processes and provide expertise feedback for customer.

  • Maintain schedules, track inspections, provide data on part usage and provide status reports of weapons maintenance, and trend analysis.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in related discipline and nine (9) years of related experience or high school equivalent and eleven (11) years related experience with related certification.

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; Interim Secret needed to start.

  • Experience using and providing measurements with precision measuring tools.

  • Able to read and understand technical and source data from manufacturer.

  • Be a proactive self-starter.  Marines and contractors often move independently of each other, The FSR must take initiative to stay engaged, visible, and involved before issues escalate.
  • Must confidently uphold standards and protect system integrity.  
  • Intermediate skill set with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time.

DESIRED:

  • Military background in Weapons Maintenance and/or Ordnance is highly preferred.

  • U.S. Marine Corps 6500 or 2100 Series MOS.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
