The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. InsightFS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Provides leadership in the daily operations of the feed mill while ensuring compliance with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist the Feed Mill Branch Manager with directing daily operations of the feed mill.

Provide and enforce safety training.

Schedule feed mill activities to include feed manufacturing and shipments.

Schedule production to meet mill requirements, ensuring proper sequence, clean-out procedures, products ordered and current inventories.

Oversee and assist with inventory management.

Assist with daily reporting (maintenance log, production record, inventory, batching summaries, etc.) and review daily production paperwork.

Perform regular housekeeping audits.

Comply with all company, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Perform all activities required to complete daily feed mill checklist.

Prepare and lead local safety meetings.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Provide input to location manager on performance of mill employee’s.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety , OSHA and DOT policies and procedures , as they apply .

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma , or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of related work experience de monstrat ing a knowledge of using technology within a production environment .

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Frequently:

Required to lift 51 – 70 lbs as needed.

Required to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc)

Exposed to working conditions which may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measureRequired to push heavy objects

May be required to work at varying heights

Ability to work extended hours during seasonal demands.

Ability to travel independently and overnight.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
