Job description

Hi, we're Nuts.com!

Nuts.com is a self-funded, profitable, rapidly growing multi-channel DTC specialty food and wellness company with over 550 people on our team. We're changing the landscape of snacking on nuts, dried fruit, chocolate and more! We planted our roots in Newark, New Jersey during the Great Depression, selling premium nuts on Mulberry Street's open-air market. We've come quite a long way since then, taking our multi-generational family business online in 1999. Even after 96 years, we continue to pride ourselves in expertly sourcing the highest quality foods and treating our customers like family.

What's our team like? We're driven, collaborative and entrepreneurial. Energy and passion power our business and we look for candidates who share in that excitement to help us continue to build something special.

The role

We're looking for a reliable and safety-minded Driver to support the continuous movement of inventory between our facilities and elsewhere. You'll play a critical role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly — loading, transporting, and unloading pallets while maintaining accurate inventory records at every step.

While the day-to-day work is Cranford-based, this role will occasionally include trips to other locations.

What you'll do

  • Safely operate a ~26 ft box truck, completing on average 4-5 roundtrips per day
  • Plan routes and consistently meet delivery schedules
  • Load and unload pallets efficiently and safely
  • Operate power industrial vehicles (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; identify and report mechanical issues, defects, or safety concerns
  • Scan and track inventory at each stage of the transfer process using an RF scanner
  • Represent Nuts.com professionally during any customer-facing deliveries
  • Report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience operating a motor vehicle with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds continuously throughout a shift
  • Experience operating power industrial vehicles (forklift certification a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to work a Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM schedule
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

What we offer

  • A challenging role in a rapidly evolving business
  • Hourly rate of $23 - $24, depending on experience
  • Temporary position is entitled to paid sick leave as per the NJ Earned Sick Leave only
  • An ever-evolving range of perks (they're employee feedback-driven so we're continuously improving)
  • A casual work environment (jeans and sneakers are A-O-K!)
  • A phenomenal 40% employee discount!
