Position Summary

The Operational Performance team is seeking an experienced Application Developer II (Front-End Developer) to lead the development and standardization of modern user interfaces across enterprise applications. This role will focus on establishing front-end development standards, creating intuitive user experiences, and accelerating the delivery of scalable web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with backend and full-stack developers, enabling the team to maintain focus on core business services while driving front-end excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and establish front-end development standards, best practices, and UI design guidelines.
  • Design user experience (UX) workflows, wireframes, and interface architectures for modern web applications.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing web applications using modern front-end technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end solutions with RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Create and maintain reusable UI component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize application performance and user experience.
  • Mentor development teams on front-end technologies, patterns, and best practices.
  • Participate in application architecture discussions and technical planning efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience establishing UI standards, design systems, and front-end development guidelines.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and user workflows.
  • Proficiency with ASP.NET Core MVC and Razor.
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
    • HTML5
    • CSS3
    • Bootstrap
    • JavaScript
    • TypeScript
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.
  • Strong understanding of front-end and backend communication patterns.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
  • Experience designing and developing reusable component libraries.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Knowledge of modern front-end architecture patterns and application performance optimization techniques.
