About the Role
Our firm is seeking a Front-End Identity Integration Developer on behalf of a client in the national retail industry. The client delivers large-scale digital and in-store experiences and maintains a broad portfolio of consumer-facing and enterprise applications.
In this role, you will integrate a third-party identity platform with custom-built web applications. You will help create secure, intuitive, and consistent authentication, authorization, and account-management experiences across the clientโ€™s application portfolio.
The ideal candidate combines modern front-end development expertise with practical knowledge of identity and access management. You will work closely with Identity and Access Engineering, Cyber Defense, Compliance, Cyber Architecture, product, user experience, and external vendor teams.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with Cyber Architecture and engineering teams to implement secure token handling, session controls, error management, and protections against common web application vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with the identity platform vendor to understand product capabilities, integration requirements, release changes, defects, and recommended implementation practices.
  • Work with product owners and user experience designers to translate business requirements and design specifications into production-ready functionality.
  • Create automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for identity-related workflows.
  • Troubleshoot authentication failures across browsers, applications, networks, APIs, and vendor platforms.
  • Implement logging, telemetry, and monitoring to measure authentication success rates, failures, latency, and user abandonment.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and production-readiness reviews.
  • Produce technical documentation, implementation guidance, and onboarding materials for other application teams.
  • Support phased deployments, feature-flag strategies, production validation, incident resolution, and post-launch optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the scalability, maintainability, security, and consistency of identity integrations across the application portfolio.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
