ARS s is seeking Mid – Senior Front-End developers to support a cutting-edge program supporting the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency in the Denver, Colorado area. The Senior Front-End Web Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining modern, userfacing web interfaces. This role requires deep expertise in contemporary front-end technologies, agile development practices, accessibility standards, and the ability to collaborate within a fast-paced, lean engineering environment. The ideal candidate is a selfstarter who can quickly learn emerging tools, contribute to fullstack workflows, and help drive best practices across the development team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop responsive, accessible, and performant front-end interfaces using modern web standards, techniques and frameworks, including HTML5, CSS3, and CSS preprocessing tools such as LESS and SASS.
  • Implement user interfaces using contemporary UI frameworks and libraries (e.g., Bourbon, Twitter Bootstrap).
  • Build and maintain JavaScript-based functionality using strict mode compliance, modularization techniques, and modern libraries and MV* frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Backbone.js, Ember.js, D3).
  • Integrate and consume RESTful APIs to deliver dynamic front-end experiences.
  • Participate in agile team environments (Scrum, Lean), routinely delivering iterative updates and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
  • Utilize Git and GitHub for version control, branching strategies, peer review, and collaborative workflow.
  • Ensure all front-end code adheres to Section 508 accessibility compliance standards.
  • Rapidly research, evaluate, and adopt new development tools, libraries, and frameworks as needed.
  • Engage with open-source ecosystems, contributing to or leveraging community-built solutions.
  • Translate static design assets into functional web layouts and responsive views.
  • Create templates and views within fullstack frameworks such as Rails, Express, or Django.
  • Develop front-end applications using Angular or React, or contribute to service development using Java (RESTful service experience).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Current TOP SECRET security clearance and available for polygraph testing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience/combined education with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a Masters degree)
  • Advanced/expert knowledge of HTML5, RESTful and/or Java
  • Deep familiarity and proficiency with Git and GitHub
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508) and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced and skilled with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker
  • Experienced with Agile SW development methodologies
  • Experienced with SAFe, processes

The expected annual salary range: $160k - $180k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.
