Job Summary:
Glue is a company redefining team communication through an innovative AI-powered platform. They are seeking an experienced staff-level software engineer to lead front-end development, focusing on best practices and team growth while enhancing user experience and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Steward front-end best-practices architecture and craftsmanship across the team.
• Recruit and develop a world-class engineering team.
• Set the direction of the product, codebase, and team culture.
• Identify opportunities and implement improvements to existing systems and workflows for performance, scale, speed, and accuracy.
• Architect projects the 'right way' and make tradeoffs depending on project maturity.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years of front-end web development experience, including 2+ years with Typescript and React
• Deep understanding of web technologies including the DOM, CSS, and Javascript
• Independent and self motivated -- maintaining side projects or libraries a major plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Optimistic attitude and a 'let's try' approach to tackling difficult situations
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
