Job Summary:
Loft Orbital is a company that simplifies space missions for various clients. As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on enhancing the UI of satellite operations software and collaborate with the Software team to improve user experience and maintain web applications.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
โ€ข Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
โ€ข Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
โ€ข Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
โ€ข Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
โ€ข Getting hands-on with satellite operationsโ€”everyone at Loft plays a role in mission success!
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
โ€ข Experience with Vue or React
โ€ข Experience working on SPAs
โ€ข Experience with GraphQL APIs
โ€ข Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress)
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Web Components
โ€ข Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries โ€“ e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
โ€ข Interest in Space or Aerospace โ€“ No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
