Job Summary:
Chenega MIOS SBU is a company that supports large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology. The Senior Front End Developer will develop visualization software to understand data where proximity and location matter, helping to create location-aware software applications that enable real-world improvements.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs
โ€ข Collaborate with front-end developers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
โ€ข Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and reliability
โ€ข Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
โ€ข Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
โ€ข Maintain production systems and resolve issues as required.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s in computer science, Mathematics, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field
โ€ข 5+ years of experience with web design and web front-end development
โ€ข Proven web design/development experience using HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and JavaScript
โ€ข Experience with front-end development libraries, such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
โ€ข Background building high availability and high scalability solutions
โ€ข Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
Preferred:
โ€ข Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field
โ€ข Esri certification
โ€ข CompTIA Security + certification
โ€ข Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
โ€ข Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
โ€ข Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
โ€ข Exposure to DevSecOps practices and secure development pipelines
โ€ข Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
