Job Summary:
Vanda Pharmaceuticals is a company focused on healthcare solutions, and they are seeking a Back End Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The role involves building user interfaces, developing APIs, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and modern frontend technologies
• Build responsive and high-performance user interfaces using VueJS, ReactJS, TypeScript, BlueprintJS, TailwindCSS, and/or Bootstrap
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services for internal applications and third-party integrations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows, identify operational gaps, and build scalable technical solutions
• Develop reusable frontend components and scalable backend architectures following best practices
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
• Integrate and maintain Salesforce integrations and data synchronization workflows between internal applications, CRM platforms, and third-party systems
• Integrate third-party services and payment gateways such as Stripe and Authorize.net
• Build secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access systems
• Implement automated testing and quality assurance processes including Cypress testing
• Optimize applications for scalability, reliability, performance, and security
• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, and S3
