Responsibilities

Summary (100-200 words): The Builder Warranty Market Manager is responsible for driving builder channel growth through new business acquisition, builder membership, enrollment and warranty revenue generation, and strategic account expansion. This role focuses on developing and managing relationships with home builders and builder organizations, with a primary emphasis on securing new builder memberships, increasing enrollment volume, and expanding share of wallet within existing builder accounts.

Operating in a B2B sales environment, the Builder Warranty Market Manager leads long-cycle, consultative sales efforts that require strong negotiation, business development, and account planning capabilities. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and support builder onboarding, ensuring alignment with customer needs and long-term growth objectives.

The position requires a high degree of autonomy and a proactive "hunter" mindset to identify and convert new opportunities, including engagement in builder associations, regional and national industry events, and multi-market builder relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new builder acquisition by identifying, targeting, and closing high-value builder accounts to generate contracted membership and enrollment revenue.
  • Own builder account growth strategy, including expansion of existing builder relationships and increasing enrollment volume across portfolios.
  • Lead consultative sales cycles with builders, including needs assessment, solution positioning, negotiation, resulting in memberships.
  • Manage a portfolio of builder accounts, acting as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders and aligning solutions to long-term business goals.
  • Develop and maintain multi-market and national builder relationships, communicating, collaborating, and coordinating across regions where builder accounts span territories.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Success) to support onboarding, implementation, and long-term account success.
  • Represent the organization in builder-focused industry associations and events to build pipeline, strengthen brand presence, and expand partnerships.
  • Track and manage pipeline, and account performance within CRM tools to drive accountability for contracted enrollment and revenue growth.
  • Execute against revenue targets tied to builder memberships, enrollments, and long-term account value, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.
  • May assume other duties as applied.

Physical Role Requirements: Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones.  Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment. 

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred; Current valid driver's license and automobile insurance; Property and Casualty Insurance License is required to be obtained (at company expense) within first year of employment. 

Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role): 5+ years of experience required and proven results in sales capacity, some experience in home warranty, insurance, or home building/real estate industry preferred

Travel: Resides full time in the geographic area supported. In a typical workweek, this role requires in-person presence approximately 4 out of 5 workdays, including driving a personal vehicle or other transportation to various builder offices, attending in-person meetings, events, and conferences, and traveling to locations within driving distance or, as needed, by air.

Other/State Specific

The target earnings for this role are between $150k yearly and $180k yearly. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
