Job Summary:
Konami Gaming, Inc. is looking for a UI-UX Design Engineer III to join their team. This role involves extensive design and coding skills to meet department and customer objectives, working collaboratively with various teams to develop new system features and maintain existing user interfaces.
Responsibilities:
• Writes, tests, debugs/troubleshoots, and maintains the source code of computer programs.
• Research, design and developing system software in conjunction with the SYNKROS Casino Management System and related product development.
• UI Software programming and development of documentation.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
• Applies strong HTML/CSS/FIGMA (or other software/programming languages suitable for user interface development) developer experience to code new and enhanced development objectives; analyze objectives and problems specified by engineers and/or designers.
• Assists management team in conducting code reviews.
• Provides mentoring and oversight to junior developers on functional development, KGI coding practices and company policies and procedures.
• Assists in project management enhancements of system as necessary.
• Coordinates the testing scripts, documentation, and deployment schedule with the QA, Training and Documentation departments.
• Meets difficult technical challenges and tight deadlines.
• Determines or coordinates purchasing requirements for programs or enhancements.
• Consults with customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance.
• Coordinate installation plan of Systems Software/Firmware.
• Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status.
• Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities for data processing projects.
• Reports any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution to senior management.
• Knowledge of the Information Technology industry, its systems, platforms, tools, and technologies.
• Knowledge of graphical user interface design and development.
• Creates and maintains solid customer relations and feedback.
• Contacts customers, as necessary, to attain feedback of stability and reliability of systems software.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose client issues and resolve in efficient and timely manner.
Qualifications:
Required:
• BSEE or BSCE from a four-year college or university (Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years or more experience as a website software designer with HTML / CSS front-end coding.
• 3 or more years’ experience in graphical user interface (GUI) design development.
• High degree of knowledge and understanding of software design systems.
• Casino Gaming or Lottery System experience a plus.
• Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written with all levels of the business.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).
• High degree of knowledge and understanding of computer systems, front-end development including HTML/CSS and UI design.
• Graphical User Interface programming skills and experience required.
• Casino Gaming, Lottery Systems or RDBMS experience a plus.
• Ability to obtain licensing, gaming card, or other certifications required by gaming regulations or jurisdictions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
