Job description

Job Summary:

What You'll Do:

Preventative maintenance of all crushing, washing and other aggregate equipment. Operate front-end loaders, keeping aggregate plants filled with the proper materials and running efficiently, load dump trucks. This position involves the operation of a variety of Heavy Equipment, i.e., Front-end Loaders, Dozers, Skid Steers, and Aggregate Plants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of heavy equipment used in the crushing & screening of aggregates.

  • Operate off-road vehicles and loaders.

  • Perform preventative maintenance of all production equipment.

  • Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary, such as: welding, replacing parts, hoses and filters.

  • Weld and cut on equipment when necessary.

  • Maintain safety in aggregate site and equipment operation.

  • Attend educational seminars and achieve industry standards.

  • Maintain a clean an orderly work area.

  • Must adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules.

  • Operators are responsible for owning and maintaining hand tools used for maintenance.

  • This position is for a mobile crew and will require to travel and stay out several days near the jobsite at a time.

  • Must provide own transportation to job sites.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Attend an annual 8-hour MSHA refresher course.

  • New employees must complete 24 hours of new miner training

  • New employees with mining experience greater than two years prior to hire must complete 12 hours of experienced miner training.

  • Must have Heavy Equipment Operation experience.

  • Must have mechanical ability for general maintenance purposes.
