Job Summary:
Loft Orbital Solutions is a company that provides governments, companies, and research institutions with a fast, reliable, and simple way to deploy missions in orbit. As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on refining the UI of Cockpit, the satellite operations software, and develop web applications while collaborating with the Frontend Engineering team and the wider Software team.
Responsibilities:
• Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
• Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
• Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
• Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
• Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
• Getting hands-on with satellite operations —everyone at Loft plays a role in mission success!
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
• Experience with Vue or React
• Experience working on SPAs
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress)
Preferred:
• Experience with Web Components
• Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries – e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
• Interest in Space or Aerospace – No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
• UI/UX sensibility (no need to be a designer, just to care about that)
