Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with Vue.js experience to contribute to our growing suite of frontend applications built with Vue 3, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind, and APIs powered by Elixir and Phoenix.

You'll work with Engineering, Product, and Design teammates to help ship new features that make our platform more engaging for students and other learners, and more useful and valuable for the schools and community organizations we partner with.

Our Engineering team enjoys collaboration, and you'll do a mix of pairing, code review, discussing new processes or improvements to our frontend architecture, providing feedback on product and design requirements, and your own deep work on any given day. As a senior engineer, you'll help lead projects, shape frontend patterns and standards, and provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team.

As the number of students using our platform grows, you'll also help improve application performance, reduce frontend complexity, address technical debt, improve automated testing, and build scalable user experiences across multiple applications.
This opportunity is initially structured as 3-month temporary employment, with the possibility of extension or longer-term opportunities for the right candidate. Hybrid or remote for the right candidate.

Qualifications
  • Have at least five years of professional software engineering experience
  • Have at least five years of hands-on Vue.js experience in production environments

  • Have experience building modern frontend applications with Vue 3, TypeScript, and component-based architectures

  • Have experience working with RESTful APIs and frontend application state management

  • Have experience building responsive, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces

  • Have a strong appreciation for automated tests and testing culture

  • A product mindset and driven by helping our users

  • Understand software engineering is a team effort and enjoy communicating and collaborating with your team

  • Be excited to work in a startup environment

  • Have worked on a remote or hybrid team before

Additional Information

The annual total compensation for this position is expected to be between $130,000 - $150,000. This opportunity is initially structured as 3-month temporary employment, with the possibility of extension or longer-term opportunities for the right candidate. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee's job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the indicated range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Level All are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for stock-based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
