Java Consultant

Peritus Inc is seeking a Java Consultant to support a high‑priority application upgrade and conversion initiative. We are looking for a consultant who can contribute immediately, work independently, and deliver high‑quality solutions in a fast‑paced environment. This is a hybrid position. Not open for third parties

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance and modernize applications using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC, AWS
  • Develop and optimize backend logic with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Build and enhance UI components using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, AJAX, and Thymeleaf
  • Write reliable unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
  • Support CI/CD processes and deployments through Jenkins
  • Collaborate with end users to clarify and refine requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Java 17/21 and Spring MVC
  • Proficiency with Oracle SQL/PL‑SQL
  • Front‑end development experience (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, AJAX)
  • Unit testing experience with JUnit and Mockito
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
