What is a front desk student assistant?

Front Desk Student Assistants are students employed by universities or colleges to provide administrative support at the front desk of campus offices, such as residence halls, libraries, or student service centers. Their duties typically include greeting visitors, answering phone calls, handling mail, assisting with check-ins, and providing information about campus services. They help maintain a welcoming and organized environment while gaining valuable customer service and office experience. This role is often part-time and designed to fit around a student's academic schedule.
