Join CHCP as a Receptionist
The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for students, employees, visitors, and members of the community.
The Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing incoming calls and visitors, supporting Admissions activities, and assisting with a variety of administrative and campus operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, organized, and comfortable working in a busy, student-focused environment.
What You'll Do
Front Desk & Customer Service
  • Greet students, employees, visitors, and guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the campus and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer incoming calls, route calls promptly and accurately, and direct callers to the appropriate staff member or voicemail.
  • Take accurate and professional messages when needed.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
Admissions Support
  • Process and distribute prospective student and lead inquiries to the appropriate Admissions team members in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with Admissions events, including open houses, orientations, high school field trips, and other recruitment activities.
  • Facilitate and proctor Admissions assessments.
  • Provide administrative support to the Admissions Department as needed.
Administrative & Campus Support
  • Perform data entry and assist with special projects.
  • Assist with direct mail and bulk mail projects.
  • Manage local campus purchase orders.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Order and maintain student scrub inventory.
  • Collect vendor invoices and packing slips for submission to Corporate Accounting.
  • Maintain copiers and ensure they are stocked with paper, staples, and toner.
  • Maintain the campus phone extension list.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests with building management.
  • Manage shipping and receiving of campus packages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with a multi-line telephone system or busy switchboard preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a busy environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
