Fairlane Hotel is a 79-room independent boutique property in the heart of downtown Nashville. We are committed to delivering a warm, polished guest experience and take pride in a front desk team that is professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for hotel guests, responsible for delivering a welcoming and professional experience at every interaction. This position handles check-in and check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries while supporting the seamless day-to-day operation of the front desk.

RESPONSIBILITIESGuest Services:
  • Greet all guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner
  • Handle checkin and checkout procedures efficiently and accurately, including ID verification, payment processing, and key issuance
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring complete satisfaction
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests with recommendations
  • Front Desk Operations:
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the property management system
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure room readiness
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and messages courteously and professionally
  • Ensure the front desk and lobby remain clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures
  • QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred:
  • Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (Stay N Touch experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of local Nashville attractions
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • SCHEDULE

    Full-time, on-property position with rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
