POSITION: Front Desk Associate

DEPARTMENT: Fitness, Health and Wellness

JOB SUMMARY:

The goal of the Front Desk staff member is to support the fitness staff and the goals of the fitness operation by providing hospitable service to the members of the Club and maintaining all front desk duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and check in each member that enters the fitness facility
  • Build rapport with members, and get to know each of them
  • Answer all phone calls and member inquiries with clear information for each member
  • Utilize NorthStar POS system to manage member accounts for various items such as including food, class fees, and training fees
  • Assist trainers in managing their schedules and tracking member sessions
  • Open and shut down fitness facility when needed by turning on and off lights, TVs, music, etc.
  • Assist with keeping the fitness center stocked with various including food, drinks, towels, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
  • Attend all required meetings and training for Fitness staff
  • Serve as Floor Attendant and assist with special events when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Fitness Coordinator, Wellness and Outreach Coordinator of the Director of Fitness, Health and Wellness

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational and communication skills and outstanding customer service skills
  • Excel at building relationships with a variety of individuals
  • Have a positive attitude that contributes to a positive team culture
