What is the Home Weatherization Assistance Program?

The Home Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is a government-funded initiative that helps low-income households improve the energy efficiency of their homes. The program provides services such as insulation, sealing air leaks, and upgrading heating and cooling systems to reduce energy bills and make homes more comfortable. Success in this role comes from strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to client education, as well as close collaboration with team members such as auditors, contractors, and case managers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet program standards.
