Job description

Job Description: Field Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Field Supervisor oversees field operations, ensures safety compliance, manages personnel, and maintains the functionality of equipment and services at customer sites. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to make quick decisions in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
  • Conduct routine field inspections of equipment and well-site operations to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Support field operations, including centrifuge and dewatering tasks.
  • Manage and prioritize daily field activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and personnel. Submit PO requests with quotes and coding to admin.
  • Inventory of equipment and screens

2. Personnel Management:
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate Field Service Technicians to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee job assignments, scheduling, and dispatching to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure timely, accurate submission of paperwork and reports through company tools like the Field Runner app.

3. Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce company and OSHA safety regulations, ensuring all personnel adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site audits and equipment inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of incidents and accidents using the Aerion system.
  • Ensure all personnel in STX maintain Safety training certifications.

4. Equipment and Maintenance:
  • Monitor the condition and functionality of field equipment, addressing any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and supplies, ensuring adherence to purchase order procedures.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, equipment performance, and service tasks.
  • Prepare and submit daily field reports, highlighting any operational challenges or outstanding issues.
  • Accurate daily completion of our daily cost tracker.

6. Leadership and Decision-Making:
  • Provide leadership during complex or high-pressure situations, making informed decisions to resolve challenges.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for field operations in the absence of other personnel.

7. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall business operations.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds regularly, 60 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Capable of maneuvering hoses weighing between 30-60 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, steel-toed shoes, gloves, goggles, respirators, and flame-retardant clothing.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods (up to 3-4 hours) and operate or work near heavy machinery as needed.

Work Environment:
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions, including wet/humid settings, extreme heat, and outdoor weather.
  • Potential risks include working at heights, around mechanical equipment, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and vibrations.
  • Noise levels may range from moderate to high, depending on the task.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
Drilling Concepts:
  • Basic knowledge of drilling rigs, components, and their functions.
  • Understanding of drilling operations such as drilling, tripping pipe, running casing, cementing, and completions.
