Long-Term Contract Opportunity | Level II Trauma Center | Caring for Our Nation's Veterans
AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department Physician to join a collaborative, high-performing team in a modern Level II Trauma Center in Fresno, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide emergency medical care to our nation's Veterans in a fast-paced clinical environment where patient safety, quality, and compassionate care are top priorities.

What You'll Do
As an Emergency Department Physician, you will provide comprehensive emergency medical care for Veterans presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergent medical conditions. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate, stabilize, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute illnesses and traumatic injuries.
- Provide care for medical, surgical, psychiatric, cardiovascular, neurologic, respiratory, orthopedic, and trauma-related emergencies.
- Perform emergency procedures within your granted clinical privileges, including intubation, central and arterial line placement, cardioversion, procedural sedation, fracture reduction, lumbar puncture, and chest tube placement.
- Coordinate admissions, specialty consultations, interfacility transfers, discharge planning, patient education, and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and, when applicable, supervise and mentor healthcare trainees.
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, or ABIM).
- Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- Current DEA registration and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care to the Veteran population.
- Ability to obtain facility credentialing and clinical privileges.
Schedule
- Full-time onsite contract position in a 24/7 Emergency Department.
- Rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts.
- Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage required.
- Multiple shift options available to support continuous patient care.
