Alpine Home Air Products

Job description

Help customers choose the right HVAC system with confidence
No HVAC experience is required-we provide comprehensive product and system-design training.
Alpine Home Air Products is looking for a curious, technically inclined sales professional who can help homeowners make confident decisions about heating and cooling systems.
This is a consultative inside-sales role. You'll speak with homeowners and contractors, understand their projects, build system recommendations using our proprietary tools, explain the available options, and guide customers toward a purchase that fits their home, priorities, and budget.
You do not need to arrive as an HVAC expert. You do need to be comfortable learning technical products, asking thoughtful questions, making recommendations, and helping customers move from uncertainty to a clear decision.
What You Will Do
  • Speak with homeowners and contractors by phone or video
  • Ask questions about the property, project, comfort needs, and budget
  • Use our design software to develop appropriate system recommendations
  • Explain technical concepts in clear, everyday language
  • Help customers compare cost, comfort, efficiency, aesthetics, installation complexity, and long-term value
  • Recommend a direction based on the customer's priorities
  • Address questions and concerns that may prevent the customer from moving forward
  • Follow up with customers and guide qualified opportunities toward purchase
  • Prepare accurate design summaries so orders can be finalized correctly
  • Balance sales results with design quality and the long-term customer experience

You Might Be a Strong Fit If You
  • Have experience in consultative sales, inside sales, customer success, project consulting, or another customer-facing role
  • Are comfortable guiding a conversation and asking for a decision
  • Enjoy learning how products and systems work
  • Can simplify technical information without oversimplifying it
  • Listen carefully and make thoughtful recommendations
  • Stay organized when several options or project details are involved
  • Take ownership of follow-up and results
  • Are comfortable using software and learning new tools
  • Care about selling the right solution-not simply any solution

Experience with HVAC, home improvement, appliances, construction products, building materials, technical products, or other high-consideration purchases is helpful but not required.
About Alpine
Alpine Home Air Products has helped customers purchase heating and cooling equipment online for more than 20 years. Through our Blueridge brand, we offer one of the broadest mini-split product lines in the market.
Because HVAC purchases are expensive and unfamiliar to many homeowners, customers need more than a list of products. They need someone who can understand their project, clarify their options, and confidently recommend the right approach. That is the purpose of this position.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $75,000
  • Performance bonus based on customer outcomes, design quality, and team success
  • Group health insurance plus health savings account, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, life insurance, short-term disability and more
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Work-from-home (remote) or hybrid Chicago-based
  • All computer equipment and training will be provided
