Construction Project Manager - Banking Industry Construction - Base Salary to 100k/year - Arlington Heights, IL

  • Our client is an established commercial construction company seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team in Arlington Heights, IL. This position will manage commercial construction projects ranging from renovations and remodels to ground-up construction, coordinating projects from preconstruction and bidding through completion.
  • The Construction Project Manager will work closely with Estimating, Operations, subcontractors, clients, and project teams to manage schedules, costs, scopes of work, permitting, change orders, and project documentation. This is primarily an office-based position in Arlington Heights with travel to project sites approximately 2–3 days per month, including occasional out-of-state travel. Once established, the position offers the ability to work from home one day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications, contracts, and other project documentation
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team throughout the bidding and preconstruction process
  • Develop scopes of work for subcontractors and various construction disciplines
  • Coordinate permitting requirements with project teams
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Manage project costs and evaluate the impact of revisions, change orders, and scope changes
  • Coordinate subcontractors, clients, owners, site personnel, Estimating, Operations, and other internal project stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, contract documents, and change order information
  • Travel to project sites and owner meetings approximately 2–3 days per month, including occasional out-of-state travel

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Project Management experience in commercial construction
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects, including renovation, remodeling, or ground-up construction
  • Experience with construction project planning, scheduling, coordination, cost management, change orders, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Experience working with architectural and structural drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work full time from the Arlington Heights office, with the ability to work from home 1 day per week once established
  • Ability to travel to project sites in different cities and states approximately 2–3 days per month
  • Ability to meet company background screening requirements, in accordance with applicable laws, and driving requirements associated with job-related travel.
