Community Home Health Care is now offering a Paid PCA Training Program for individuals interested in becoming PCA certified caregivers. Qualified candidates can earn their PCA certification while being paid during training, provided certain criteria is met.*
*To be eligible for paid training, trainees must be able to travel to our Vestal office for classes or testing.
Certification:
Classes: The PCA Training Program lasts 5 consecutive business days and prepares caregivers to provide both physical care and emotional support to clients who may need assistance due to illness, injury, surgery, aging, or disability.
Test out: Candidates with at least three months of hands-on caregiving experience within the last three years may qualify for our one-day ACD test-out option.

Caregiver Responsibilities may include:
Remind client to take medication
Prepare and serve meals
Assist the client in moving/walking
Assist client with eating, dressing grooming & bathing
Keep simple records
