Job description

The Technical Analyst is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and management of reporting solutions within the Oracle Fusion environment. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to create, customize, and maintain reports that provide valuable insights into business performance and data analysis. The Technical Analyst shall ensure efficient delivery of accurate and actionable information through well-designed reports and dashboards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and management of reporting solutions within the Oracle Fusion environment

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to create, customize, and maintain reports that provide valuable insights into business performance and data analysis

  • Ensure efficient delivery of accurate and actionable information through well-designed reports and dashboards

  • Collaborate with business units to understand reporting requirements, data needs, and key performance indicators; develop a comprehensive reporting strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives

  • Lead the design and development of various types of reports, including operational, analytical, and ad-hoc reports, using Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, and related tools; collaborate with data analysts and business analysts to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and presentation

  • Collaborate with business units to understand reporting needs, objectives, and key performance indicators

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for report development; design and develop various types of reports, including operational, analytical, and ad-hoc reports, using Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, and relevant tools; create data visualizations and dashboards to present insights effectively

  • utilize Oracle Cloud analytics, reporting solutions, data warehousing, project management, BI Publisher, PL/SQL, Jira, Service Now, and Rally to perform duties; extract and transform data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency

  • Use SQL queries and scripting languages to manipulate and prepare data for reporting; support a team of report developers and analysts, data migration analysts, providing technical guidance and support; help define best practices for report development, data visualization, and user experience

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using BI Analytics or other relevant tools

  • Ensure dashboards provide actionable insights and enable effective decision-making; collaborate with integration teams to ensure data connectivity from various sources into reporting solutions

  • Establish data connections, data models, and data hierarchies to support reporting needs

  • Establish testing strategies and methodologies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards

  • Perform thorough testing, including data validation and usability testing; provide assistance to end-users on report usage, navigation, and interpretation

  • Offer technical support and assistance to users encountering issues with reports

  • Create and maintain documentation for report specifications, data mappings, and technical documentation; telecommuting 1 day per week permitted

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)

  • Two (2) years in the position above, as an Analytics Technical Consultant, as a Cloud Consultant, as a Data Engineer, as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation

  • Experience must include two (2) years' use of all the following: Oracle Cloud analytics, reporting solutions, data warehousing, project management, BI Publisher, PL/SQL, Jira, Service Now, and Rally

  • Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. 

  • Telecommuting 1 day per week permitted
