Job description

Home Oil Company is seeking an experienced Certified Dispenser Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing fuel dispensing equipment and related systems at our retail locations.
We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused technician who can diagnose equipment issues, perform quality repairs, and help keep our stores operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fuel dispensers and related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of fuel dispensing systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic dispenser components.
  • Service and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable safety requirements.
  • Respond to dispenser and equipment service calls at company locations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues involving point-of-sale and fuel system communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, parts used, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
  • Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service needs when assigned.
  • Perform other maintenance and technical duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Current Dover Fueling Solutions certification or applicable Dover dispenser technician certification.
  • Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing fuel dispensing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel to company locations throughout the assigned service area.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and work around fuel dispensing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with store personnel and management.

Preferred Experience:
  • Wayne fuel dispensers and related equipment.
  • Gilbarco fuel dispensers and related equipment.
  • Verifone PASSPORT point-of-sale systems.
  • Convenience store and petroleum equipment maintenance.
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting in a retail fueling environment.
Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This position also includes on-call responsibilities, which may require responding to equipment issues outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends when assigned.

Home Oil Company offers competitive compensation based on certification, experience, and technical qualifications.
In addition, the Certified Dispenser Technician will have access to:
