Job description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for the delivery of optimum quality care to patients while in the Excel Program.

This is a part-time, casual, role, hours will vary based upon business need, available 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 4 days a week, casual, temporary positions to help due to being short staffed out of our Edina & Maple Grove locations.

Almara Women's Health | OGI is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Tend to patients regarding personal care and activities of daily living
  • Coordinates with medical professionals regarding the patient’s condition
  • Reports finding or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
  • Assists the RN with diagnostic tests
  • Collects specimens and delivers them to the laboratory department
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and supply inventory in patent room
  • Assist with transfers and ambulation of patients
  • Turnover rooms to support patient discharges and admissions
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • CNA certification
  • 3-5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequentlylift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
