Job description

Occupational Therapist

This position is eligible for up to a $15,000 Sign-on Bonus!

Position Summary: The incumbent will ensure the delivery of high quality, safe home occupational therapy in accordance with federal, state, professional and agency standards, and requirement.

Education, License & Cert: Be a graduate of recognized school of occupational therapy with a Bachelor of Science. Current licensure in the state of primary practice is required.

Experience: Experience working with an adult and geriatric population is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • To ensure the delivery of high quality, safe home occupational therapy in accordance with federal, state, professional and agency standards and requirements.
  • Independent judgement and excellent planning and problem‐solving skills are required.
  • Communicates and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
  • Provide population appropriate therapeutic interventions resulting in positive outcomes as judged by quality monitoring and patient satisfaction.
  • Supervision, including the appropriate documentation regarding the supervision of a Home Health Aide or an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Document the course of patient care including progress made, continuing need for treatment and response to treatment.
  • Provide patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence.
  • Participating in continuing education/professional development activities.
  • Participate in performance improvement management activities and committees sponsored by the agency and the Guthrie Healthcare System.
  • Contribute to the delivery of cost‐effective care, maintaining visit and productivity requirements, as stipulated, by agency administration.

  • Travel for this position is always required.

The pay range for this position is $35.85 - $56.79/hr
