The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Rochester, providing a collaborative atmosphere designed to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for consistent routine and focus on evening patient appointments. As a Physical Therapist at Burke Orthopedic Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the therapeutic care program for patients assigned to you, ensuring collaboration with the physician and multidisciplinary team.
• Completing comprehensive patient assessments to formulate and implement individualized care plans tailored to achieve specific goals and enhance patient engagement.
• Delivering the majority of the physical therapy interventions throughout the continuum of care, ensuring continuity and progress in rehabilitation.
• Conducting detailed evaluations and administering treatment interventions according to established professional standards and ethical practices.
• Assessing and monitoring patients' therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional statuses, contributing to the comprehensive plan of care.
• Providing skilled therapeutic care in patients’ homes or in the outpatient setting as required, focusing on maximizing their quality of life.
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, exercises, therapeutic equipment usage, and prosthetic device applications.
• Managing caseloads effectively by prioritizing patient needs, staffing arrangements, and coordinating smooth transitions of care.

Your focus will include a diverse range of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The ability to create positive relationships with patients while promoting their recovery and independence is paramount. You will work closely with patients of varying ages, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and care based on their specific needs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A valid New York State Physical Therapy License.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or the willingness to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration within a team setting.

While no previous experience is required, candidates with a strong interest in orthopedic rehabilitation or clinical internships in similar settings will be viewed favorably.
