Job description

As a Registered Dietitian with Coram CVS Specialty Infusion Services, you will work with internal and external customers including patients, caregivers, case managers, physicians, pharmacists, outpatient dietitians, and vendor representatives to coordinate all aspects of patient home nutrition therapy. You'll use your excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with key partners and patients. You will play an instrumental role in making areal difference by improving the quality of life for patients in need.

As a Nutrition Support Dietitian you will:

  • Evaluate and customize enteral parenteral prescriptions including formula (macro and micronutrients), volume, administration and other parameters based on each unique patient needs.

  • Perform outbound calls to follow up and complete ongoing assessments with patients and caregivers to monitor patient status, tolerance to therapy, and provide education related to their therapy.

  • Review patient medical documentation to support a smooth on-boarding of newly referred nutrition therapy patients.

  • Review clinical documentation to assist with qualification and documentation of medical necessity for Medicare and commercial payers as needed.

  • Develop patient specific plan of care in coordination with internal and external medical professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

  • Work with sales to develop and maintain nutrition customer relationships. Serve as a content expert for sales support activities.

  • Answer incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and other disciplines across the pharmacy to resolve patient questions and issues.

Training at this time is fully remote.

Location and schedule

  • One may live anywhere in the Eastern, or Central Time Zone in this remotely based role. One will be supporting our patients in the eastern states

  • Full-time hours are typically 8a-5p Eastern Time, Monday-Friday. If one lives in the Central Time Zone, they will work 8a-5p Eastern, 7a-4p Central

  • Telephonic on-call is approximately one week (evenings and the weekend) every nine weeks in case a patient has a question after hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current registration by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association

  • Registered Dietitian with current license in state of employment. Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas.

  • 2+ years clinical experience in nutrition support (enteral)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track patient care activity

  • Participate in on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs

  • Ability to hard-wire into the internet

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician - CNSC

  • Infusion experience

  • Knowledge of Parenteral and Enteral Formulas across manufacturers

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree - Nutrition, Dietetics or related field is required

The typical pay range for this role is:

$21.10 - $48.67

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
