Job Description We are seeking an experienced Linux Engineer/Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux engineering, automation, and infrastructure monitoring and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable Linux environments that support business-critical applications. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain servers in Linux environments. Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies. Monitor server health through automated and manual processes. Design, develop, and implement infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools using scripts such as BASH and PowerShell. Perform server hardware maintenance and upgrades. Create test automation frameworks in collaboration with team members or other IT departments. Develop tools to improve functionality and efficiency of infrastructure. Maintain software repositories and apply software updates. Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and servers in virtualized environments. Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Perl, or related languages, plus proficiency with BASH. Experience with Ping, SSO, and certificate management. Knowledge of automation technologies and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, and Nginx. Knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2. Experience with application support, web technologies, APIs, and microservices. Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud computing. Experience with open-source application suites, such as WordPress or Drupal. Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Role Logistics & Interview Process Work mode: Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. Onsite day 1 required. Start window: September or October. Interview process: 1-2 rounds.
