THE PAY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $22-27 PER HOUR. YOUR PAY RATE WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON PREVIOUS APPLICABLE WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD.
This is not an entry-level role. A minimum of 1 year of verified experience as a Landscape Irrigation Technician is required. Applicants must provide previous employer contact information for experience verification.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License (Required)

  • Chauffeur’s License or Endorsement (Required)

  • Minimum 1 Year of Experience specifically as a Landscape Irrigation Technician (Required)

  • DDOT Medical Card (Preferred). If not currently held, candidates must be able to pass a DOT-compliant medical exam and drug screening, as required by federal law.

Here’s what you’d do:

An Irrigation Technician is able to foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Careful planning and the ability to anticipate issues are qualities which BrightView particularly value.  People with your mindset and proactive work-style, are just what our customers expect.

You’d be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and testing new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups, winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system. 
  • Conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems. 

 You might be a good fit if you have:

  • A Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor certification (preferred but not required).
  • An understanding in basic irrigation design, irrigation equipment, and electrical principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ irrigation experience.
  • Experience with two-wire irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of irrigation principles and practices such as soil to water and plant relationships.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as: multimeters, flow meters, fault finders, locators, and leak detectors.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software programs and mobile electronic devices.
  • Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential. 

 

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Ability to create and read site map colored charts/legends
