Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing ethical and empathetic individual mental health counseling through secure video chat sessions.
• Employing solution-focused therapeutic modalities tailored to meet individual client needs.
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans to address the unique challenges faced by each client.
• Facilitating insights and self-reflection in clients to help them understand their emotions and relationships better.
• Regularly monitoring and assessing client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans when needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client focus will be on stable, low acuity adults who seek support for various mental health challenges. You will work with a diverse range of individuals, catering to different backgrounds and experiences, ensuring that your approach is sensitive to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current, unrestricted state-issued mental health counseling license, allowing you to work independently (LMFT, LPC, LCSW). Candidates with provisional licenses or disciplinary actions will not be considered.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish trust and rapport with clients.
• Proficient computer and technology skills, necessary for using our counseling platform effectively.

Preferred Experience

You should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mental health counseling. Experience working with virtual counseling platforms and familiarity with various treatment modalities will be a strong asset.
