Job Summary
Are you passionate about culinary excellence and making a meaningful impact through food? Holland Home is seeking a Chef to assist in our kitchen with creativity, precision, and heart. In this position, you will prepare and cook food for residents and staff using standardized recipes and complying with regulatory requirements; assuring that all prepared food items meet standards for temperature, quality, consistency, freshness, taste and appearance.
Join a team where your culinary skills contribute to comfort, care, and community.
What will you do:
  • Complete advance prep as needed for meal service
  • Check and record food temperatures; taste all prepared items
  • Clean prep area and equipment after use
  • Label all food containers with date, time, and item description
  • Maintain required logs (temperature, delivery, sanitation, etc.)
  • Respect and uphold resident rights in daily practices

Schedule:
  • Full-time
  • Monday-Friday; 9:30am - 5:30pm, with some variation

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate p with staff, residents, and their families while performing cooking tasks.
  • Ability to work well independently given proper direction.
