Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and developing advanced mechanical solutions for commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will utilize standard engineering practices to create efficient and effective layouts and schematics, ensuring all components function seamlessly within the overall system design. This position requires close collaboration with sales, service, production, and clients to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop refrigeration systems for various environments, including chilled water, halocarbon-based systems, CO2, and industrial ammonia facilities.
  • Select, size, and specify system components such as air distribution, air handling, refrigeration, piping, heat exchangers, pumps, and accessories.
  • Conduct heat load calculations and perform thermodynamic analysis to determine appropriate sizing and selection of refrigeration equipment and control valves.
  • Review and evaluate components during the manufacturing process, recommending design modifications as needed.
  • Ensure designs meet quality standards, cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain project timelines and adhere to budget constraints.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and sales/marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 year of experience in design and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred experience in project management.
  • Strong ability to prioritize assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical solutions and concepts.
  • Proven skills in continuous learning, flexibility, and customer focus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel, typically less than 10% of the time.
