Position Description:

Are you an Experienced Underground Maintenance management professional looking for a challenging and exciting career? We may have the perfect job opportunity for you! 

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Mobile Maintenance Superintendent at our Goldrush operations.  The Underground Mobile Maintenance Superintendent will champion divisional and department safety; develop and implement organizational assignments and plan for succession; develop, implement, and support operational work processes that support the business objectives and Life of Mine (LOM) strategy of the underground division.

Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in mine planning, operational execution, maintenance coordination and work audits
  • Participate in the development and approval of operational budget and monitor variances
  • Develop operations improvement strategy and ensure the attitude of continuous improvement is driven within the organization
  • Work with Technical and Maintenance counter parts to support operational standards and ensure implementation
  • Develop and implement organizational assignments and plan for succession
  • Develop, implement, and support operational work processes that support the business objectives and Life of Mine (LOM) strategy of the underground division
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mine Engineering or Ten (10) years underground experience preferred 
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred 
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans and offer sound technical expertise with regards to mine design and ground control issue required
  • Strong working knowledge of underground mining equipment, support equipment, and methods, procedures, and legislative requirements preferred
  • Proven safe work record, sound understanding of safety and environment requirements associated with underground mining required
  • Professional communication skills with various levels of employees both verbally and in writing required
  • Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
