Job description

As a Sr Portable Gas Detection Training Professional at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering customer training programs. Your expertise in instructional design and training methodologies will support the development of engaging training initiatives that drive exceptional customer experiences and align with our organizational goals.

You will report directly to our Portable Gas Detection Product Growth Leader and will work out of our Houston, TX or Lincolnshire, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall customer experience by ensuring our sales team, distributors, and customers are well-equipped to understand and use our portable gas detection and software solutions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver internal and external portable gas detection training programs tailored to various levels and roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and close skill gaps.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously improve training content and delivery methods for maximum engagement and effectiveness.
  • Support the offering management team in the development of white papers, revision of manuals, and other customer-facing documents.

The salary range for this position is ($95,700.00 - $119,600.00). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience in gas detection training or a related safety training field, with a successful track record of designing and delivering impactful training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies to create engaging and effective training materials.
  • Experience with Honeywell BW and RAE portable gas detection products or other competitor portable gas detection products.

  • Experience managing customer training for industrial, safety, HAZMAT, or first responder audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence training teams.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple training and documentation initiatives effectively.
