About the Role

We’re seeking a Clinical Child & Adolescent Behavioral Psychologistto join our nationally recognized inpatient program. This specialized unit provides acute care and intensive treatment for youth with neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary teamdedicated to stabilizing behaviors, enhancing coping skills, and supporting long-term growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with clinical team members to set treatment goals and develop individualized behavior plans (IBPs)
  • Monitor progress using meaningful behavioral markers
  • Provide direct care through individual and group interventions
  • Provide family treatment to strengthen caregiver’s ability to support youths in their homes and communities
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to help youth achieve stabilization and readiness to transition to lower levels of care
  • Support and train milieu staff in implementing milieu-based treatment

What We’re Looking For
  • PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited program, including an APA-accredited internship
  • Postdoctoral experience in developmental disabilitiespreferred
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
  • A team-oriented clinician with a strong interest in inpatient careand complex cases involving ASD and co-morbid conditions
