IBHS Clinical Supervisor

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Department: Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)
Reports To: Clinical Director/Program Director

Dunbar Wellness Group is seeking an experienced and compassionate IBHS Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and supervision for our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program.

This leadership role is responsible for supervising Behavioral Consultants (BCs), Mobile Therapists (MTs), Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), and other assigned clinical staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

The Clinical Supervisor ensures services comply with Pennsylvania IBHS Regulations (55 Pa. Code Chapter 5240), Community Behavioral Health (CBH) standards, Medical Assistance (Medicaid) requirements, HIPAA regulations, and agency policies.

Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Supervision
  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to Behavioral Consultants (BCs), Mobile Therapists (MTs), Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), and clinical interns.
  • Mentor, coach, and support clinicians in delivering trauma-informed, family-centered, and evidence-based behavioral health services.
  • Provide clinical consultation regarding complex cases, crisis situations, behavioral interventions, and treatment planning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical case reviews.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania IBHS Regulations (Chapter 5240), CBH requirements, Medical Assistance standards, HIPAA, and agency policies.
  • Review and approve:
    • Comprehensive Assessments
    • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
    • Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs)
    • Behavior Support Plans
    • Treatment Plan Updates
    • Progress Notes
    • Crisis/Safety Plans
    • Discharge Summaries
  • Conduct chart audits and documentation reviews to ensure services are medically necessary, individualized, timely, and audit-ready.
  • Monitor clinical documentation, authorizations, productivity, and service utilization.
  • Assist with licensing reviews, internal audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Program Oversight
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, physicians, and community partners to coordinate quality care.
  • Review incident reports and ensure appropriate clinical follow-up.
  • Support staff performance through coaching, competency evaluations, and corrective action when appropriate.
  • Promote ethical practice, clinical excellence, cultural responsiveness, and positive client outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the IBHS program.

QualificationsEducation

Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, Human Services, Education (behavioral emphasis), or another closely related behavioral health field.

Licensure

Active Pennsylvania license required. Qualified applicants may include:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS/BSL)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW), when applicable under Pennsylvania IBHS regulations
Experience
  • Three years of post-master's behavioral health experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience providing behavioral health treatment in home, school, or community settings.
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, trauma, and mood disorders preferred.
  • Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments and behavior intervention planning.
