Bering’s is seeking a polished, detail-obsessed Seasonal Visual Merchandiser – Gift Shop to shape the in-store experience across both store locations. In this full-time seasonal role, you will bring our curated assortments to life through thoughtful presentation, seasonal storytelling, and brand-consistent displays, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.


About the role

  • Full-time, seasonal position running from now through the end of the year, with opportunity for hire.
  • Visual merchandising responsibility for Gift Shop assortments at both Bering’s locations.
  • Reports to the Lead Gift Shop Buyer and collaborates closely with store leadership, sales associates, and marketing.

What you will do

  • Design, install, and maintain elevated merchandise presentations that reflect Bering’s brand and enhance the customer experience.
  • Create cohesive display flows that invite discovery, highlight key stories, and support sales objectives.
  • Refresh displays in alignment with new arrivals, seasonal transitions, promotions, and store events.
  • Ensure all products are floor-ready, impeccably presented, and maintained to a high visual standard.
  • Partner with buyers, store leadership, and sales teams to align visual merchandising with product strategy and inventory priorities.
  • Support storewide events, vendor pop-ups, and promotional floor sets, including staging for marketing content and social media as needed.

Requirements:

What you bring

  • Documented prior experience in visual merchandising is required.
  • Minimum 1 year in retail merchandising or a customer-facing retail role, preferably in gift, home décor, apparel, or specialty retail.
  • Proven ability to translate product stories into sophisticated, sales-driven displays.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across two locations.
  • Confident communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Reliable, professional presence and scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays.

Physical and work environment

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to lift and carry up to 40 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and use of ladders or step stools for display setup.
  • Work primarily on the sales floor and stockroom, with occasional off-site display support as needed.
