Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains building components such as Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Variable Refrigerant Flow, Steam, Hot Water, gas, Building Automation, Energy Management, and Work Order Management systems.

  2. Maintains building plumbing components.  

  3. Works with other trades as necessary to complete projects.  

  4. Under the supervision of a manager or Plumber 2, installs, repairs, inspects, and maintains safe and efficient operation of including, but not limited to: sanitary waste, storm drainage, water supply, medical and natural gas, process piping and fire sprinkler systems.  

  5. Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures. 

  6. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies. 

  7. Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned. 

  8. Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority. 

  9. Working weekends and different shifts will be required. 

  10. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
     


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial plumbing systems.

  • In lieu of an Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program, 10 years of maintaining commercial/industrial plumbing systems will be accepted.  

  • Due to insurance regulations, must be at least 21 years of age with a valid SC driver's license. 

  • SC Backflow Tester certification

  • ASSE 6040 Med Gas certification
